1. Interlocking joints for strength and durability

The furniture’s strong joints make for a sturdy and durable frame that is designed to endure the forces of nature and can be enjoyed for years to come.

2. Grade A and weather-resistant FSC-certified teak

For centuries, teak was the wood of choice for shipbuilders because of its unique water resistant qualities. Teak wood’s natural oils repel water, making it resistant to most forms of wood rot, fungi, and pests. It also happens to be a beautiful wood that only looks better with age. Our teak is sustainably grown and designed to live a long life outdoors.

3. Fade-proof Sunbrella outdoor fabric

Neighbor’s fabric is proudly made by Sunbrella®, the industry leader in outdoor textiles for over 100 years. Sunbrella® is a solution-dyed acrylic that can withstand extreme UV exposure and is mildew resistant. So, you don’t need to worry about your fabric fading or building bacteria.

4. Marine-grade hardware

Just like it sounds, all our hardware is built to withstand exposure to the open ocean. Whether our furniture is exposed to endless rain or sun, our stainless hardware is up for the challenge.

5. Quick-drying, reticulated foam cushions

Outdoor cushions that stay wet become prone to mildew and rot. We craft our cushions with high-quality, porous foam that’s meant for the outdoors and allows water to flow through it without becoming trapped. This means our cushions are less susceptible to rot or mildew without sacrificing comfort.

Shipping is free in the contiguous 48 United States (everywhere but AK & HI).

No inconvenient delivery appointment needed

Stop worrying about coordinating a huge delivery. All of our furniture ships via FedEx and arrives to your doorstep in small boxes.

Straightforward returns

Only a small percentage of customers return their products. But we understand — some things just don’t work out. That’s why we give you 45 days to decide if our products are the perfect fit. Hold on to your original packaging. If you decide to start a return, you’ll ship it back to us in that.

No surprise restocking fees

Nobody likes unfair fees, especially when they’re a surprise. As long as your furniture is returned in good condition and in its original boxes, your money will be credited to your payment method immediately!

Worry-free warranties

Every purchase includes a limited 3-year warranty on frames, hardware, cover craftsmanship, and foam. There is a 5-year limited warranty on the Sunbrella® fabric. We also offer extended 5-year coverage through Mulberry.

Our story

Nick, Chris, and Mike met while working at Tuft & Needle, a home goods retailer. After years of working together, a natural friendship formed.

Like everyone in 2020, we looked for ways to cope with a year unlike any we’d experienced before. As we began to turn our homes into our entire world, we tried to create an escape from what used to be our space to relax and recharge. Our homes became school, work, recess and at times an overwhelming reminder that we couldn’t go about life like normal. We all shared how we began to spend more and more time outside. The outdoor spaces in our homes became our haven, a space to unwind and refresh. As we spent more time outside, we found ourselves continually expressing frustration with our outdoor furniture. Our collective career experience told us that it shouldn’t be complicated to craft something durable, beautiful and timeless.

After some exploration and desire to build something for ourselves, we started to lay the groundwork of an outdoor furniture and outdoor goods that would help customers create space to make memories.

Our team is ready to answer your questions, here are some of the most common questions we receive:

It gets really hot/cold where I live. Is that a problem?

No matter what time of year, our furniture is crafted to stand up to all weather. From the Phoenix heat to the Chicago winters, our design allows for natural expanding and contracting due to temperature changes.

Are your cushion covers removable/washable?

Our covers can be removed and washed by hand or in a washing machine on the gentle cycle. When using in a washing machine, make sure to zip your seat covers shut to prevent fraying on the seams.

Is your teak sustainable?

Absolutely. All of our Grade A teak is harvested from FSC certified forests, meaning our products are made from responsibly sourced and sustainable forests.

What type/grade of teak does the product use?

We’re proud to use FSC Certified Grade A teak for all of our products. This means that in addition to being grown sustainably and responsibly, our teak is harvested from logs that are at least twenty-two years old. In some cases, Grade AB might be used as part of the product's underside which typically is not visible.
